My Writing Process.

Evernote and iDevices

Once I’ve gotten an idea in my head I tend to try and collect links and info regarding what I’m going to write about.

Dropbox, Skydrive (when it was still alive) and Google Drive are all really usefull for image/video storage, and I use a program/app called Evernote for everything else.

Evernote is a suite of software and services designed for notetaking and archiving. A “note” can be a piece of formatted text, a full webpage or webpage excerpt, a photograph, a voice memo, or a handwritten “ink” note. Notes can also have file attachments. Notes can be sorted into folders, then tagged, annotated, edited, given comments, searched and exported as part of a notebook.”

Evernote is amazing. You can clip out articles, save and organise images and notes and otherwise just keep your stuff in an orderly fashion. It’s free and it’s brilliant. I use it across all my iDevices, which enables me to grab stuff on the fly. It uses a centralised account across all your devices and synchs via wifi. Like I said, it’s brilliant.
