R.I.P Joe Kubert.

Joe Kubert passed away on the 12th of August, 2012.

Nothing I say here will come anything close to describing the impact that comic book artist Joe had on the comics industry.

Beginning with his work on DC’s Hawkman in the 1940 through his runs on comics as diverse as Sgt Rock, Tor and Fax from Sarajevo Kubert never stopped creating. Perhaps as well know for founding the Kubert School as for his published art, Joe passed on skills and lessons to many aspiring artists now making a living in the industry.

I’ll just be repeating any number of blog posts and obituaries to go on any longer. But know that comics have lost a life long champion and an amazing artist, and is a poorer place for it as you can see from this gallery on CBR.

R.I.P Joe Kubert, you will be missed.
